Marriott WTC Survivors Guestbook

"Like many people, I wasn't aware of the Marriott Hotel, and the fact that people lost their lives there on September 11th. There are many others things I've recently discovered about that day that have also shocked me. I don't know whether I just missed the information at the time, or whether the media didn't report it. This is a fantastic site, and has educated me greatly. My thoughts are with those who lost loved ones on 9/11 and the survivors."

"The story of the Marriott Hotel reminds me of 7 World Trade Center. If people think the hotel is forgotten, the other buildings are even more so. The hotel was located between the Twin Towers, which probably made it slightly more prominent than the others. The hotel was leveled by the collapse of the towers, but the other buildings were destroyed too. Unfortunately, it is true that this hotel, as most of the buildings outside of North and South towers have been all but forgotten in a world that barely recalls the life and times of Sept 11 "

"I read the Washington Post article, was surprised to read the stories that happened in the hotel. Excuse my ignorance, but I didn't know there was a hotel in the World Trade Center. I hope the gathering was healing for all the survivors and families "

"I saw the article about the hotel, and am amazed/ I had no idea that there were people who died in this building, and so many stories happened there. I stayed there once many years ago (I believe it was called the Vista) I had not remembered that the Vista Hotel was part of the World Trade Center, although now, it makes sense, when I think about it. I suppose I never put two and two together!

Thank you so much for making us aware what really happened in that the hotel. I can't believe it took me 5 years to piece this together, and I a non-New Yorker was actually somewhat tied to this tragedy because I was actually in a building that was destroyed.

Thank you so much for the information"

My father is firefighter Ruben David Correa from Engine Company 74 and he was one of the firefighters to not come out of the Mariott Hotel. I have wondered about the hotel and what it's condition was for five years now. Thank you so much for your pictures. They helped a lot.

Dad- I miss you and love you and your in my prayers always.
