September 2009: Commemoration Activities and Memorials
New York City To mark the eighth anniversary, the Survivors Network is invites all to share this day of remembrance with other survivors. Survivors are welcome to attend any of these events. The ceremony and reading of the names will be held in Zuccotti Park. This year again, family members and survivors will be able to descend into the site. Massachusetts To mark the eighth anniversary, the a commemoration will be held in Cambridge, MA. A special presentation from a survivor, will be presented. Joyce has spoken publicly of her experiences on September 11th and its aftermath. She will narrate her first-hand account of her experience, including her escape, and the horrific events witnessed that day. Because of space limitations, you must RSVP to attend.
